 Children are a welcome and very special part of our practice and we want them to feel that way! We strive to make their dental visits here as fun as possible. Our goal is to provide each child a lifetime of positive dental experiences.
We have a get acquainted/fun visit available for very young or apprehensive children. We have found this is a great way to introduce a child to the sights and sounds of a dental office. A ride in the chair, counting the teeth, and showing the child the "tools" that are used to clean their teeth make the child realize that the dentist's office is a nice place to be.
 We recommend that kids of all ages visit us two times per year for an exam and cleaning. We do a flouride treatment every six months as well as give individualized home care instructions. We take conservative radiographs and have intra oral cameras to photograph the teeth and smile at different stages of development. We use only the latest clinical technology to care for your child.

 Hints to make your child's first visit a positive experience...
- Stress that the first visit is going to be fun. Having a positive attitude and using a positive vocabulary will reduce any fears that your child may have.
- If you have had unpleasant dental experiences, try not to discuss them in front of your child.
- Parents are welcome in our treatment rooms. Please stay positive with all comments to your child. Even the words "It's not going to hurt" can make a child worry. Instead, it is better to say "This is going to be great, I am so proud of you!"
