Your First Visit
The New Patient Experience
We want to make your first visit pleasant and personalized and be sensitive to your values and concerns. We want you to feel that this practice cares for you and will do all it can to help you get the best dental care possible. Our new patient experience has been intentionally designed so that you'll notice that we are different the first time you walk through the door.
At your first appointment, one of our hygienists will discuss with you your objectives and expectations for your dental care. This allows us the opportunity to begin earning your trust and also to introduce you to our unique practice.
We will do a thorough examination of your mouth. We take the necessary, conservative radiographs and digital & intra oral photographs needed to make the right diagnosis. We will take your blood pressure and do an oral cancer screening as well as full restorative, periodontal and T.M.J. examinations. We will explain our examination to you... we feel it is so important for our patients to feel knowledgeable about their own personal dental situation. Your dentist will discuss his findings with you and help you understand your treatment options.
Following the comprehensive examination, your dentist will develop a treatment plan. Our goal is to have the most conservative, long-lasting care that will provide an attractive smile for a lifetime. It would be what we would want for ourselves or our families. It may take some time, investment and work to accomplish your optimum treatment plan but we can do it together through mutual understanding and communication.
We will schedule all continuing care and restorative appointments from this New Patient Exam. It is possible that the dentist may recommend another short consultation with him if your treatment includes different options.
Thank you for learning about our practice. We look forward to learning about you and are eager to begin working with you for your better health. We want to give you the smile that you've always wanted... you deserve it! |
